In "Sculpture in Motion", students explore and creatively capture the movement of the body using two distinct materials: cardboard and wire. The course begins with cardboard, which students use to create "wearable art" in the forms of masks and costumes. Through this process, students learn how to express their own body movement as a three-dimensional object in space. In the second part of the course, students focus on one body movement and are guided in how to express that movement creatively in the form of wire sculpture.
움직이는 조형물 수업에서, 학생들은 두 가지의 성질이 뚜렷한 재료인 골판지와 와이어줄을 이용하여 신체 움직임을 탐구하고 이를 포착하여 창의적으로 표현해 냄. 본 수업은 골판지를 이용한 수업을 시작으로 ,학생들은 골판지를 이용해 마스크나 의상과 같은 "입을 수 있는 작품"을 제작하게 됨. 이러한 과정을 통해, 학생들은 본인 신체의 움직임을 공간 상의 3차원적 물체로서 표현하는 법을 습득. 후반부 수업에서, 학생들은 한가지 신체 움직임에 주시하여, 그 동작을 와이어를 이용한 조각 형태로 창의적으로 표현하는 방법 습득.
